You're Not Alone

This is a reminder that you’re not alone if you can’t figure out what’s causing your pain or why things just aren’t getting better even though you’re doing your very best.

You aren’t expected to be able to correct the misloading that’s causing your pain. There is nothing wrong with you if the prescribed PT exercises aren’t working on your own. There is nothing wrong with you that you haven’t been able to ‘fix’ your posture. In fact, it’s normal. We can benefit from having the experience of being guided through movement by a trained Instructor  that can support you in doing the movements just a little bit better each time. 

Proprioception is an internal navigation system and it’s something that relies on information from our brain to our body. Our brain craves feedback in order to move the best that we can, and a good Pilates Instructor can give you that feedback! 

Whether it be through small group classes or Movement Therapy, feedback comes from your Instructor’s laser eye that has been trained to see the smallest nuances and detailed cueing to help you make subtle changes that make a difference. That’s empowerment!
